| | | Description: Introduction to the profession of physical therapy and its place in the healthcare field. Provides a historical overview of the profession, an understanding the role of the PTA, as well as basic health care concepts, wellness and prevention, legal and ethical considerations, and documentation. Students are expected to relate healthcare observation and experiences to course material and discussion.
